VPS Container Management

Containers can be managed with the help of Parallels Power Panel. Parallels Power Panel is a means for administering personal Containers through a common browser - Internet Explorer, Mozilla, and others. It allows Container administrators to:

  • Start/Stop/Reboot Container: Control containers with Start, Stop, Fast Stop and Restart functions.
  • Container Services Management: Manage container services and processes such as stopping an unresponsive task or restarting a service.
  • Container Resource Monitoring: Monitor container resource utilization for CPU, system, disk space and disk inodes.
  • Backup/Restore Container: Back up and restore containers including all system and user files.
  • Container Re-install: Reinstall the container from scratch, either saving or discarding existing files.
  • Container Actions Log: View the container actions log to monitor resource shortage alerts and various container events.
  • Embedded SSH or RDP Client: Connect via integrated SSH client (on Linux) or via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP, on Windows) to the container.

Plesk Expand Management

  • Scheduled Backups/Backup Processes: You can view information about the scheduled backup task, add domain objects to the task or remove them from the task, configure preferences for the task.
  • View Account Limits: View your allotted account limits.
  • IP Address Pool: View the list of IP addresses allocated to your Expand client.
  • All Domains: View the list of domains owned by Expand client.
  • Add New Domain: Setup a new domain on any of the allocated Plesk server to your Expand client.
  • Domain Information: View information on the domain name, plesk client owner, plesk server hosting the domain, IP information, hosting type and modify the domain status, reload the domain, change the hosting template and view DNS records.
  • Domain Limits: Limits are set by specifying a usage quota for each critical resource. When a user tries to exceed a limit, for example, by creating an extra subdomain, this operation is blocked by Plesk Expand. By default, all limits are set to unlimited.

Get More Done!

With more security and the highest level of stability, Plesk Expand is designed to be the most stable and secure control panel available. Redesigned with a clean and easy to use interface, With our Dual Platform account, Plesk Expand Users have certain rights and privileges on certain Plesk objects they own. Plesk Expand users have access to the Plesk Expand control panel, where they can manage their objects and accounts, within the limits and capabilities provided by their user role. There are the following user roles in Plesk Expand:

  • Expand Client is a Plesk Expand user who owns and manages domains and Plesk clients in Plesk Expand. These domains and Plesk clients may be registered on several Plesk servers, including servers running different platforms (Plesk for Windows or Plesk for Linux/Unix).
  • Domain User: This user is granted access from the Client/Reseller, with predetermined permission sets and interfaces for single domain administration.

You can own and manage several domains on different Plesk servers through the single Plesk Expand control panel. Therefore you can use a wide set of site application packages, regardless of the hosting platform (Linux or Windows). For example, you want to host one website on Ruby (which ties you to Plesk for Linux), and to deploy a number of ColdFusion applications on another website (which can be hosted only on Plesk for Windows). Being registered as an Expand Client, you have access to Plesk Expand control panel, where you can manage both web sites without having to re-log in between Plesk servers.

Distributed Services

Plesk Expand offers a set of distributed (or centralized) services. A distributed service is a service received by several Plesk servers remotely, from a single centralized dedicated server. Such server (called a Centralized server) is allocated for providing this service to several or all objects registered on other Plesk servers. This allows to reduce the workload on each Plesk server, optimize the overall system performance, and helps to quickly and easily detect and resolve typical service issues. There are the following types of centralized servers in Plesk Expand:

  • Mail server. A Plesk server registered in Plesk Expand which operates as a centralized mail server for several Plesk servers.
  • DNS server. A Plesk or a non-Plesk server which operates as a centralized DNS server for several Plesk servers.
  • Database Server. A Plesk or a non-Plesk server which operates as a centralized database server for several Plesk servers.
